Henin reaches quarters with little trouble

Justine Henin-Hardenne closed out play Sunday night with a 6-1 6-4 dismissal of
10th seeded Anastasia Myskina in Court Philippe Chatrier.

The defending champion won 11 of the match's first 12 games en route to a spot
alongside Anna-Lena Groenefeld in Tuesday's quarterfinals.

The only hiccups for Henin were a sloppy service game at 4-0 of the first set,
which gave Myskina her only game of the set, and the Russian's four-game run
late in the second. During that span, Henin-Hardenne's backhand faltered, but
she finally converted her fourth match point with an overheard winner.

"When you're down 6-0 5-1, it's easy to play well because you don't have any
pressure. You feel like the match is over," Henin-Hardenne said of Myskina's
mini-comeback. "I just tried to play point to point. I had a couple of match
points at 5-3, then played a solid game at 5-4."

It took Myskina 59 minutes and 13 games to hold for the first time. She hit
just four winners in the match while committing 29 unforced errors.

Henin-Hardenne has won their last four meetings to improve to 7-2 lifetime
against Myskina, the 2004 French champion. This will be Henin-Hardenne's first
encounter with Groenefeld.
