Draymond Green thinks Warriors have only been legitimately beat three times

When Draymond Green sits back and reflects on the Golden State Warriors’
season, he only sees three instances where his team was truly beat.
Green was appearing on “The Draymond Green Show” on KNBR Thursday with
hosts Ray Ratto and Tom Tolbert and talked about the Warriors’ season. The
Warriors are 68-7 in a very good position to beat the ’95-’95 Chicago Bulls
, 72-10 regular season record.
Though they have lost seven times, Green believes the Dubs were legitimately
beat just three of those times.
“Detroit — they beat us. The Lakers beat us. There are still question marks
about Milwaukee. I didn’t play in Denver; Steph (Curry) didn’t play Dallas.
Portland beat us,” said Green.
“I’d say when I look at our seven losses, I look at ’em and say three
teams really beat us. I’d say Portland, Detroit, the Lakers. There’s a
little asterisk by Dallas, by Denver, by Milwaukee when we were coming off a
triple-overtime and getting in at 4 o’clock in the morning. So there’s a
little asterisk by those.”
Green did not mention the loss to the San Antonio Spurs on March 19, which
also could have an asterisk because of the absence of Andre Iguodala.

Despite Green saying only three teams “really beat” the Warriors, he knows
all the losses count equally.
“But at the end of the day, a loss is a loss and every NBA team has to deal
with an NBA schedule. But that’s just how I look at it when I sit back and
reflect. Not so sure about those, but regardless, it’s a loss on the record."
The Warriors still have home and road games against the Spurs and Grizzlies,
as well as a home game against the Blazers, who already beat them. Head coach
Steve Kerr said he would defer to his players when it came to pursuing the
record, and the guys say they want it.
If the Warriors can break the Bulls’ record, then those asterisks Green sees
won’t even matter.
