Enyeama - 5.5: The stand-out performer for the first half of Nigeria’s World
Cup campaign, he made a number of good saves today before gifting the match
to Greece with a howler.

Odiah - 5: His distribution was poor. Made a number of good runs but
repeatedly failed to make the best of his opportunities.

Yobo - 6.5: Marshalled the defence and won a number of important headers. His
cool head made up for the poor positioning of those around him.

Shittu - 5.5: Struggled to deal with Gekas and the onrushing Salpingidis.

Taiwo - 5.5: For a player of his quality, he should have offered his side a
lot more before a pulled muscle led to his early exit

Haruna - 6: He got stuck in but didn’t offer his team-mates much support
going forward.

Etuhu - 6: Another relatively solid performance from the consistent Fulham
midfielder. He did well to break down opposition play but didn’t offer
enough on the ball.

Uche - 6.5: One of the few bright sparks for the Super Eagles, showed good
feet and a willingness to make something happen when his team were struggling.

Kaita - 4: His petulant and needless red card left his team-mates facing an
uphill struggle.

Odemwingie - 4.5: Tipped to be one of the Super Eagles star performers of
this World Cup, he offered nothing in 45 minutes before being pulled off at
half-time.

Yakubu - 5.5: Led the line and intermittently offered a goal threat but
failed to take his one key opportunity that would have given his side a
second half lead.

Substitutes

Obasi - 5: Second half substitute, his only major contribution was to miss a
complete open goal that would have put his side ahead.

GREECE

Tzorvas - 7.5: Made a number of crucial stops, not least from Yakubu in the
second half that would have seen his side go behind to the ten men.

Vyntra - 7: Made a number of excellent runs down the wing, especially after
Taiwo’s departure.

Kyrgiakos - 6: A goal threat at set pieces, he could have done a little
better and may have got himself on the score sheet today.

Papadopoulos - 6: Defended relatively well but at times struggled to deal
with Yakubu’s physicality.

Papastathopoulos - 6: Picked up an early booking and left the field before
half-time as Greece pushed on following Kaita’s dismissal.

Torosidis - 7: Indefatigable and showed excellent reactions to follow up an
Enyeama spill to grab the winner.

Tziolis - 7: Looked to get forward and was always looking to shoot; it was
his effort that saw the Nigeria ‘keeper spill the ball for his side’s
winner.

Karagounis - 7: The captain led by example and always wanted the ball. Though
his passing wasn’t up to his usual high standard, he was a constant bright
spark.

Salpingidis - 8: The best player on the pitch today. The tiny forward worked
brilliantly between the lines and was a constant danger. Deserved the good
fortune he got for his goal.

Katsouranis 7.5: A constant threat coming forward, he set up his side’s
equaliser and showed endeavour throughout.

Gekas - 7: The little man provided his team with a focal point and did well
against Nigeria’s bigger, stronger defenders.

Substitutes

Samaras 6.5: Came on to add some extra fire power to the team after Kaita’s
dismissal and made a nuisance of himself throughout.

Ninis – N/A: The highly rated youngster only got ten minutes at the end.
