A hyper aggressive Justine defeated Tatiana Golovin in a net charging display
of fire and steel at the quarterfinals on late Friday afternoon 6-2 3-6 6-3.
The Talented young Frenchwoman's outstanding fighting qualities held onto the
second set of the match, despite the relentless attacking Belgian. It was all
too much for Golovin, and Justine conquered the third set. The multi-grand
slam Belgian plays this season's breakout young player Czech Lucie Safarova in
the semi-finals on Saturday.

When Justine reviewed her match on Wednesday she promised more offensive play,
and she kept true to her words. It began with Tatiana Golovin on serve, but
from the start it wasn't to be her match to control. Justine plunged forward
at every opportunity to unsettle the quality groundstrokes of Golovin. The
first set went to Justine 6-2 in 37 minutes

Golovin won the second set, but it looked to all be Justine's hands. The
Belgian invaded the younger Frenchwoman's service game contstanly, but Golovin
managed from being pushed to the edge. Justine's double faults, and errors
helped Tatiana out to the sigh of relief from Paris locals, on the edge of
their seats during the draining saved breakpoints. The second sent went to
Tatiana 3-6.

It was too much for Golovin in the third set as Justine unleashed more serve
and volley bombardment. From 2-2, it was all Justine with 65% of first balls
in, and 88% of points gained on first serves. Cool Justine broke Tatiana for
match point. It concluded 6-2 for the dashing Belgian.



Final score: 6-2 3-6 6-3 in 1hr 57min
