The Phillies avoided uncharted and unwelcome territory with a win against the Nationals
on Saturday.

It won't be a small task for the Nationals to emerge from the series with a victory,
as Washington will go toe-to-toe with Philadelphia ace Roy Halladay on Sunday.
Halladay, once again a serious Cy Young contender, has logged 175 2/3 innings this year.
With the playoffs likely on the horizon, Phillies skipper Charlie Manuel has considered a
six-man rotation as a way to get Halladay -- along with fellow Philadelphia innings-eaters
Cliff Lee and Cole Hamels -- some extra rest.

surely be looking to add one more to his resume Sunday against right-hander
Chien-Ming Wang and the Nationals.

earning his first victory since 2009. "For me, it means a lot because it has been two years,
and it's not a short time," Wang said afterward. "I just wanted to pitch well, help the team out.
I really appreciate all my teammates."

with six doubles, a triple, a home run, eight RBIs and 14 runs over the course of
the last 22 games.
