Ryen Russillo Suggests OKC Should Trade Russell Westbrook For Lonzo Ball

The Lakers and Thunder are two teams in need of some serious roster changes
this summer. There are a number of options as to what that might look like,
but in an appearance on The Bill Simmons Podcast, Ryen Russillo of ESPN
discussed the possibility of Thunder General Manager Sam Presti trading their
franchise star Russell Westbrook to the Lakers.

在Bill Simmons的播客節目上，ESPN記者Ryen Russillo就建議，
雷霆總經理Sam Presti應該將當家球星Russell Westbrook交易到湖人。

“What’s the point in OKC? What’s the point of bringing everyone back and
having Westbrook as the ring-leader? I understand what he means to Thunder
fans. You lost two MVPs and this MVP took your money and wanted to stay home.
He decided to stay. But you lost to one rookie scorer in the playoffs last
year. Oklahoma City is held hostage to Westbrook in a way that I haven’t
seen since Iverson was with the Sixers.”

Ryen Russillo表示：

「現在的OKC還有什麼意義嗎？將所有人找齊然後以Westbrook為核心還有意義嗎？
我知道Westbrook對雷霆球迷所代表的意義，
可他們已經為此失去了兩個MVP了(KD & Harden)，最後這個MVP雖然拿了錢留了下來，
但去年卻輸給一名新秀得分手(Donovan Mitchell)所帶領的球隊。

自從Allen Iverson和七六人之後，雷霆是另一支被球星綁架的球隊。

It seems a Westbrook/George partnership is destined to fail. But a trade for
Kyle Kuzma and Lonzo Ball might bode well for their future. It would also
open up cap space for the team to sign another superstar in free agency.

目前看來， Westbrook & Paul George的合作關係註定以失敗收場，
但如果能將Kyle Kuzma & Lonzo Ball交易過來或許對他們的未來很有利，
還能省下球隊薪資空間以便在自由市場上簽下另一名超級巨星。

Meanwhile, for the Lakers, Westbrook would partner with LeBron, forming an
athletic and lethal one-two punch.

與此同時，Westbrook去湖人與LeBron聯手，組成有運動力且可怕的雙巨頭。

In theory, it could benefit both teams, but it remains a long-shot.

理論上對兩支球隊皆有好處，但可能是個很長遠的目標。
