England top World Cup seeds
World champions England will be ranked number one when the draw for the
2007 World Cup is made in Dublin on 12 May.
Australia, New Zealand and France, the other World Cup semi-finalists,
will be seeded second to fourth.
Each will head up one pool, with the other four quarter-finalists (Wales,
Scotland, Ireland and South Africa) in the second band but drawn randomly.
Twelve more teams will qualify through a combination of results in the last
World Cup and the IRB rankings.
They will be drawn at random for pool allocations.
