Durant told reporters Thursday as his Oklahoma City Thunder cleaned out their
lockers for their first playoff-free spring since 2009.

Durant unsurprisingly backed his coach Scott Brooks Thursday, the day a
report surfaced that the seventh-year head man will be re-evaluated by the
organization before they commit to bringing him back.

"He rallied us, made sure we were all emotionally stable," Durant said of
Brooks, one of just two head coaches he's had in the NBA.

The NBA MVP a year ago, this season was a lost one for Durant thanks to a
serious foot injury limiting him to only 27 games. With Serge Ibaka also on
the shelf for the Thunder, there was only so far Russell Westbrook could
carry them.

Durant said he was excited by the Thunder's trade deadline additions of Enes
Kanter and Kyle Singler (and likely the departure of Reggie Jackson) but that
the move was dampened by his injury.
