The French FA has announced that Arsenal’s Abou Diaby has withdrawn from the
national squad on account of injury.
法國足協宣佈阿比已因傷退出法國隊。
The athletic midfielder was called up by Les Bleus following impressive
performances against Roma and Newcastle, and he was even tipped to start
Wednesday’s game with Lithuania at Stade de France in place of the suspended
Jeremy Toulalan.
上一場阿比沒進大名單，原本預計明天要頂上被禁賽的Toulalan，結果.....
But the French FA have revealed that Diaby has been withdrawn from the squad
after picking up a hip injury, with Lille powerhouse Rio Mavuba drafted in.
阿比是臀部傷，他將會被Lille的Mavuba取代。
"A day before France v Lithuania at Stade de France, Arsenal midfielder Abou
Diaby has been forfeited,” read a statement.
"National coach Raymond Domenech has called up Rio Mavuba for this 2010
World Cup encounter at Saint Denis.”
Arsenal have also seen Holland international Robin van Persie pick up an
injury while on international duty.
