Szczesny - It's good to 『win ugly' sometimes

Wojciech Szczesny was happy to 『win ugly' on Saturday.

Arsenal's 1-0 victory over Everton will be remembered much more for
the Club's 125th birthday celebrations than the 90 minutes itself.
Arsène Wenger's side struggled to breakdown a stubborn visiting team and
were thankful for Robin van Persie』s superb strike 20 minutes from time.

Arsenal這場對Everton的1-0勝利，可能比當天是125週年的慶祝比賽更令人

However, the Arsenal keeper was perfectly content with the day's work,
even if it was hardly based on the flowing football the home fans have
come to expect.

「We said in the dressing room that it is good to win ugly every now
and then,」 Szczesny told Arsenal Player afterward.
「We did not create a lot of chances and missed a couple in the first half.
But we stuck together and got the all-important winning goal.

「It is vital to win these kinds of games - especially in December
when there are a lot of matches and it is easy to drop points.」

The victory means Arsenal have picked up 22 of the last 24 available in
the Premier League. It is a fine run but one that will be sternly tested
when they visit leaders Manchester City on Sunday.

「It is very important that we keep going now,」 said Szczesny.
「We believe that we can win every game.

CCC尼：我們一直持續不斷的努力進步，這對我們來說很重要。

「We have a massive game against Manchester City coming up. They will
be favourites this time but we are confident we can go there and get
the three points.

「It is probably the toughest game of the season but people were saying
that last year and we won 3-0. We hope to repeat the performance
and hopefully the result as well.」
