Andy Withdraws from Madrid

Unfortunately Andy has been forced to withdraw from the Mutua Madrilena
Madrid Masters due to illness.
Speaking about the reason for withdrawal, Andy explained, “On Sunday night
through Monday evening I was up with a stomach virus. I was up for 24 hours
vomiting and sweating and the whole deal. I played doubles yesterday and I
just wasn’t seeing the ball; I felt like I was late to the party on pretty
much everything. I woke up this morning and thought I was going to be able to
go and play. But after warm-up I just felt like something was pulling, and I
just couldn’t really see the ball or focus on it that well.”
Andy will now consider his options to get extra match practice before the
