A Calling for Adam Jones - 美國職棒

主標題是 Why isn't Jones with Mariners？

看完之後有種「全天下人都知道瓊斯的好，只有巴瓦西不知道」的感覺。

挑其中幾段出來：

1）來自某位美聯球探的觀點
"I know he's still really young," an American League scout said of Jones.
"But I think he deserves to unseat one of the bats in their lineup, and to be
honest, it's a shame he's still down here. At some point it could set him
back, as he may lose confidence during a short slump or get the feeling he
can't do enough to get the call."

拉 Jones 上來雖然有一定程度的風險，但是他夠格在先發名單中為自己掙一個位子。

2）來自某一國聯球隊代表的觀點，有點像深喉嚨 XD
"The Mariners are blowing it right now, in my opinion," said a representative
of a National League club who requested anonymity. "Jose Vidro might be
hitting just under .300, but he does very little for that offense. It's
possible that they (Mariners front office staff) look at his shiny batting
average and his approach at the plate to try and justify the deal they made
to get him in the first place. But if Adam Jones is still in Tacoma because
they can't do the right thing, they are making a second mistake with Vidro.

"He's been a nice player and has a good reputation as a clubhouse guy, but he
can't hit anymore and it is hurting that ballclub whether they say so or not."

讓 Vidro 保住位子可能是要證明季前這個交易是正確的，但不讓 Jones 上來取代他會
是球隊所犯的第二個跟 Vidro 有關的錯誤。（我認為這段評論中肯至極）

3）Jones 上來要打哪個位置？
"(Raul) Ibanez should be their DH," the AL scout said. "If you find a way to
get Jones into center or left field, they have a pretty sizable upgrade in
three areas -- at the plate, in the field and on the bases. Replacing Vidro
with their best prospect sounds like an easy decision, so, I don't know -- a
no-brainer, really."
Jones to OF，Ibanez to DH，這個調度我相信很多版友都想過─唯獨制服組想不到。

喔對了，Jones 現在在塔科馬的 SLG 是.584，with 19 轟及 44 支 extra-base hits；
Vidro─我們的 DH：.354 SLG & .709 OPS，長打率名列最末。

4）文章最末段提到
No matter how it's accomplished, getting Jones in the lineup this month could
be one way that the Mariners add to their roster as they try to run down the
rival Angels for the division lead, as well as keep pace in the wild-card
race.

Jones是我們現在加碼拼進季後賽最有利的武器。

如果 Jones 上來了，把他調去中外野，一朗回右外野，Guillen 到左外野，
大家覺得怎麼樣？這樣我們的外野防守應該算是大升級吧？:P
