Farrell談他的用球數哲學

"Let's say you get through a certain part of a game late, my guideline is not
wanting to start an inning with a starter if he's approaching 110. Unless we
have a left-hander on the mound and you have a left-hander coming up and you
want to match-up," Farrell said. "I think any time you're approaching 110,
you're probably looking to finish that inning with someone behind him.

"What also factors in to it is if a pitcher has by schedule an extra day
coming up, so that would give you a little bit more or a reason to run him
back out there, or be willing to go with a little bit of an elevated pitch
count. And is he coming off an outing where he has to grind?"
