MCEACHRAN LOANED TO HORNETS

Josh McEachran today (Friday) joined Watford on loan until 2 January.
The 20-year-old midfielder embarks on a third loan spell away from
Stamford Bridge having spent last season in the Championship at
Middlesbrough, and the second half of the 2011/12 season in the Premier
League at Swansea.
Today's move follows Nathaniel Chalobah's loan to Nottingham Forest which
was agreed yesterday and means McEachran, like Chalobah last season, will
be managed by Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola.
At Middlesbrough, McEachran established himself as a regular in the side
and made 38 appearances.
He made his Chelsea first team debut at the age of 17, coming on as a
substitute in a Champions League win away at Zilina in 2010, and his full
debut came on the final day of the same season in a home draw against
Newcastle United. In total he has made seven starts and 15 sub
appearances.
He was part of the squad which travelled to Asia for this summer's Here to
Play, Here to Stay Tour, and featured in two of our three matches, and he
has played twice this season for Chelsea Under-21s, scoring three times
including both goals in the recent 2-0 win over Norwich City.
McEachran has represented England since Under-16 level, winning the
European Championships with the Under-17s, and was in the England squad at
this summer's European Under-21 Championships. He has 13 caps at that
level.
