After years of struggling at the bottom of the Eastern Conference, the
Philadelphia 76ers are now one of the most promising, young teams in the NBA.
Led by their budding superstar duo of center Joel Embiid and point guard Ben
Simmons, the 76ers have quickly become a force to be reckoned with.

Furthermore, Philadelphia has surrounded their dynamic one-two punch with a
solid supporting cast as well in forwards Robert Covington and rookie guard
Markelle Fultz. Although it is encouraging to see them finally starting to
improve, there is some growing concern with having such an array talent this
early on.

According to Corey Seidman of NBC Sports Philadelphia, Embiid does not want
the 76ers trio of himself, Simmons, and Fultz to become like the Oklahoma
City Thunder from several years back:

“I think with everything, the main thing we have to do is just stay together
because I feel like there’s going to be some type of situation where people
say who is better between us three. And that’s how it splits.”

The trio Embiid is referring to was the Thunder’s star-studded team that
included Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant, and James Harden. After falling
short in the NBA Finals, the Oklahoma City’s core began to dissolve before
Westbrook was the only one left.

鉛筆指的應該就是擁有西河、雷帝、和哈登的雷霆。自從爭奪總冠失利後，奧克拉荷馬早
就在只剩西河獨留的情況前，就分崩離析了。

That said, it seems Embiid holds his teammates in high regard. As the current
face of the franchise, it will likely fall on him to make sure no one player
becomes bigger than the team’s ultimate goal.

任，要由他來承擔了。
