〔體育中心／綜合報導〕根據ESPN報導，皇家隊以1年300萬美元（約9100萬台幣）的合約
，簽下前費城人隊三壘手法蘭柯（ Maikel Franco）。合約另附帶100萬美元（約3000萬
台幣）的激勵獎金。

27歲的法蘭柯本季繳出17支全壘打與56分打點，打擊率2成34的成績。相較過去3年至少22
支全壘打及68分打點的產量來看，成績無疑有所退步，因此今年球季結束後未獲原東家費
城人續約，成為自由球員。

在迎接法蘭柯的到來後，皇家隊原本的三壘手多齊爾 （Hunter Dozier）或將移防右外野
。他今年除了擔任三壘手，也有以外野手及一壘手的身分出賽過。
