It's well-known that Carmelo Anthony and Dwyane Wade are great friends.

Since entering the NBA in 2003, Anthony, Wade and LeBron James have developed
one of the most well-known friendships in NBA history. They've won gold
medals together, competed in playoff series and won championships over the
years.

While James' place is secure with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Wade's was not
with the Miami Heat. The former Finals MVP would end up agreeing to terms
with the Chicago Bulls on a two-year deal on July 6th.

With all of that said, Anthony believes Wade would have been a Knick if the
"proper timing" had taken place:

This actually would make perfect sense. Prior to Wade and the Heat's
relationship completely falling apart in the matter of days, the Knicks had
agreed to terms with shooting guards Brandon Jennings and Courtney Lee. In
other words, the team had already found their starter and their backup at the
shooting guard position.
這其實滿合理的。在Wade選擇與熱火分道揚鑣的幾天前，尼克剛簽下SG的小李跟建寧。
這表示尼克已經在SG這個位置上找到先發跟替補人選。
Had Wade's breakup with the Heat happened earlier, or had the Knicks not
signed both Jennings and Lee, the 13-year veteran probably would have been in
the Big Apple, considering his friendship with Anthony and the amount of
money the franchise had available to them at the start of free agency.
如果Wade早幾天和熱火分手，或是尼克沒有同時簽下小李+建寧，
考量他與甜瓜的交情以及尼克在自由市場開市之初可以撒的錢，
這位在聯盟13年的老將就可能會加入大蘋果。
Unfortunately for Anthony and the Knicks, the timing just wasn't right.
