，確定取得複賽資格。王建民賽後說，大家都很拚，謝謝球迷加油。
即將代表中華隊在複賽首場先發上陣的王建民，在首輪對上澳洲一戰，6局0失分的強力表
現，讓澳洲打線一籌莫展，除幫中華隊拿下關鍵首勝，也替自己的大聯盟之路開了扇大門
。
王建民當天比賽的好表現在賽後迅速攻佔國內外媒體重要版面，包括美聯社、福斯體育網
、Newsday、NBC、CBS網站等美國媒體，都爭相報導建仔受到多支大聯盟球隊關注的消息
