Former Chelsea keeper Turnbull signs up for Doncaster on free transfer

Doncaster have continued a busy day in the transfer market with the
signing of former Chelsea goalkeeper Ross Turnbull.


Turnbull, 28, has been available on a free transfer since being released
by Chelsea earlier this summer.


The club have confirmed him as their third signing of the day following
the arrival on a season-long loan of Tottenham's South Africa
international Bongani Khumalo and a three-year deal for former Aston Villa
midfielder Harry Forrester.


Doncaster had been linked with a loan move for Villa's veteran goalkeeper
Shay Given after the departures of Neil Sullivan and Gary Woods this
off-season, but have instead snapped up former Middlesbrough stopper
Turnbull on a one-year deal.
