It was going crazy for two weeks so I knew it would come down to Portland,
[the] Lakers or Phoenix. So I get a call from my agent one morning and he
said, "Philly has traded you to the Lakers." So I went to lunch and started
drinking. I'm f---ing so excited that I am going to the Lakers. Three hours
later I get a f---ing phone call from my agent saying that the Sixers backed
out of the deal. I said, "Oh, s--t, I'm feeling pretty good right now." So I
went out and played that night.

到湖人，換James Worthy來，於是在午餐時就開喝了，好不開心。
3小時過後，他又接到電話被通知，這交易被取消了，傷心之餘，只好拖著酒醉的身體，去
打晚上的比賽。
報導中也提到，老巴也在92-93賽季，直衝到總冠軍賽，一直碰到紅色光頭才敗下陣;
反觀湖人則是載浮載沉到95年才有季後賽可打，2000年才摸到冠軍賽。這才是終極"
