今天，我必須非常坦白地告訴所有關心我的球迷朋友們一個事實：在從舊金山飛抵上海進行隔離的第二天，我被告知確診了COVID-19。
坦白說，在得知我最新一次核酸檢測呈現陽性的最初幾個小時，我感到非常震驚並有些慌亂。
實際上，我在美國打過了疫苗，來到中國的前後也做了許多次核酸和血清檢測，但是不知道在旅途中哪個環節出現了狀況，還是遭受到病毒的襲擊。好在我很快恢復了平靜，也許是我坎坷的籃球生涯幫助了我，我深知面對病毒絕不能退縮和懼怕，要樂觀積極地面對它並且戰勝它。
現在，我已經進入上海的一家醫院，在中國當地的醫護人員細心照顧下進行治療。他們告訴我的症狀屬於輕症，很快就會好轉。在此我必須向所有偉大的醫護人員致敬，他們為我能早日康復付出了一切，我也深信上海醫療團隊的治療方案可以讓我很快痊癒，健康地回到我所深愛的球場上。
這次患病的經歷讓我更加珍惜生活中的所有點點滴滴，不管我今後的職業生涯在哪度過，為了我愛的人和愛我的人，我都會更加努力快樂地打球。當我親眼看到這些醫療工作者所經歷的危險和辛苦，我深深地感受到我所從事的工作是多麼幸福！
我保證將和我的基金會一起做出更多奉獻，為全世界對抗COVID-19疫情盡一份心力。
最後，我要用我的親身經歷提醒大家，現在疫情還遠遠沒有結束，一定要做好個人防護，保護自己的同時也在保護他人，希望大家都能健健康康，平平安安。
