Kawhi Leonard makes a fine first impression on Raptors coach Nick Nurse

暴龍總教練Nick Nurse最近和可愛進行初次會面，可愛讓他留下很好的第一印象。


“I’d never talked to him before. I don’t think I’m alone in that. So you g
et a perception of him,” Nurse said. “I’ll be honest with you. I kind of we
nt in there thinking, ‘What if he doesn’t say anything? What am I going to d
o?’ ”

我之前從未和他說過話，我對他認知就是沉默的，在面對他之前我想，我會誠實面對你，
我還想到，萬一他都不說話怎麼辦，我該怎麼做？

“I figured I’ll tell him the whole story, this is how our offence is the way
it is … I’ll just talk,” Nurse said Friday. “And if he doesn’t want to s
ay anything, I’ll have plenty of energy.”

我想我會告訴他所有事情，像是我們的進攻如何如何……我會一直說話，如果他真的什麼
都不想說，我會維持充沛的能量熱情對他說話。

“I sat down and said, ‘Do you have any questions?’ And he started firing th
em,” Nurse said. “And it just led us to a really easygoing (conversation). N
ot what I was expecting. Very smart. Very intelligent. Very engaging. Really e
njoyed it …

但當我在會面中坐下來問他，你有什麼問題嗎？結果他開始不斷地拋出問題，Nurse談到
他和Kawhi的初次會面時說，我們的談話非常輕鬆，完全出乎我的意料之外。他非常聰明
、睿智、積極，很享受談話。

“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door a
nd I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it,” Nu
rse said. “It was fun to listen to his take.

我們本來可以一直聊下去。但總經理一直敲門，我還說，再等幾分鐘。因為我們真的很投
入，聽他說出想法很有趣。

He asked me, ‘How are you going to use me? Where are you going to get me the
ball? What do you see?’

在談話中Kawhi問我：你打算怎麼使用我？在什麼位置給我球？你怎麼看？

And I told him, ‘Listen. To me, you can do pretty much everything. You can po
st. You can drive. You can handle it up the floor. You can play screen and rol
l. You can come off pindowns.’ I said, ‘Did I miss anything?’ He’s like,
‘No, that’s about it.’ I said, ‘You’ll probably be doing all that stuff.
’ ”

我告訴他：聽著，在我看來，你無所不能。你可以背打、突破、運球快攻，打擋拆，利用
低位掩護。然後我對他說：我還漏掉什麼嗎？他說：沒，就這些。我說：你大概可以做所
有事。


All in all the conversation lasted 45 minutes, and could have gone on longer i
f Leonard wasn’t whisked away to the next stop on his tour of the Raptors pra
ctice facility, formerly known as BioSteel Centre.

會面談了45分鐘，如果之後可愛在暴龍訓練中心沒有其他事情的話，對話甚至可以一直持
續下去。

“He lit up like a Christmas tree,” Nurse said. “He was prepared, he had a l
ist of questions. Then when I got up he started asking me about the offence, a
nd I told him how we built it and the things that we do, the shot spectrum, an
d showing him the spacing. He got out of his chair and got up at the board wit
h me, and they had to drag us out of there in the end because they had to go d
o something else, but it was great.”

他就是像被點亮的聖誕樹，暴龍總教練Nurse說，他有所準備，列出一串問題清單，然後
我開始講關於我們的進攻，我告訴他我們如何打造球隊和我們做了些什麼……等，他甚至
離開椅子，走到白板前和我對話，可惜後面因為總經理和他還有一些事情安排才結束這次
談話，不過這次和他的會面談話真的很棒。
