美國網球公開賽女子雙打部份，台灣網球女將謝淑薇和西班牙拍檔葛瑞吉絲（Anabel
Medina Garrigues），對上美國強敵、大會第1種子胡珀（Liezel Huber）和蕾夢（Lisa
Raymond）組合，以6比4、2比6、6比4撂倒對手，晉級第4輪。

謝淑薇首度與2008及09年法網女雙冠軍的30歲西班牙葛瑞吉絲合作，就打出佳績。
