溫格在接受阿森納官網采訪時表示俱樂部希望能在轉會窗口關閉之前
尋找到一名中場和一名Defender(防守球員).
槍手在周六宣佈了24歲的Song將轉會到巴塞, 轉會在不久將會完成.

因為我們仍然認為球隊在一些位置的人員比較短缺。”

但當你主場作戰這樣的結果難免令人沮喪，我們沒有向以往那樣創造大量的機會，
這很令人費解。”
