Skaters admitted to participate at this event have qualified on the basis of
results at the 2008 World Championships in Gijon/Spain.
Rankings, as by rules, have been made according to the best 3 results in
individual competitions at the 2008 Worlds.
Please find here enclosed the official rankings. Admittance is for the first
30 skaters, including the winners of world titles plus 3 skaters of the
hosting country (Chinese Taipei).
The participation at the 2009 World Games is of main importance to our sport
that in 2009 will be examined by the IOC Session in Copenhagen for a
possible inclusion in the 2016 Olympic Program. For this reason too, the
number of admitted skaters at the World Games has been increased from 26 to
30.
