Spanish loan for Pasalic

Mario Pasalic has today (Tuesday) completed a season-long loan deal to
Spanish side Elche.


The 19-year-old Croatian joined Chelsea from Hajduk Split earlier in the
summer, and will spend the forthcoming campaign in Spain's top division.


A creative midfielder with an eye for goal, Pasalic was a part of
Croatia's provisional 30-man World Cup squad, having scored 11 times in 36
appearances for his club side last season.


Elche finished 16th in La Liga last time out, avoiding relegation by a
single point. They are coached by Fran Escriba.
