當地時間週二下午，沙爾克公佈了布格施塔勒的傷情。

核磁共振檢查結果顯示，布格施塔勒的小腿和跟腱連接處肌肉受傷，他將因傷提前告別上
半程的剩餘幾場比賽。另外也有可能影響到下半程初期的比賽，他將至少缺席德甲下半程
首輪與沃爾夫斯堡的比賽（2019年1月20日）。
