Maccabi Trying To Tempt Baston Back To Tel Aviv?

Maccabi Tel Aviv is in talks to bring forward Maceo Baston back to the club.

Baston signed for the Indiana Pacers last month after three years with
Maccabi, but the club hopes the NBA team will cut him before the season
starts, paving the way for a move back to Tel Aviv.

Maccabi has reportedly offered Baston a three-year deal worth $3.6 million,
which is more than his package with the Pacers.

Pacers Won't Trade Jasikevicius

Sarunas Jasikevicius is coming off a disappointing rookie season in the NBA
and has been the subject of trade rumors for a second-round draft pick,
something that Donnie Walsh flatly denies.

"That's total B.S.," Walsh said. "He's coming back and he's going to play.
Period."

"It will be a different year for him," said Larry Bird. "He's got skills and
he can play."
