LAMPARD AWARDED EVERTON GOAL
Posted on: Thu 27 Feb 2014
A Premier League panel has decided the Chelsea goal scored in last
weekend's home win over Everton is credited to Frank Lampard and not John
Terry.
Lampard took the free-kick in stoppage time with Terry and Everton
goalkeeper Tim Howard then challenging for the ball.
The decision means Lampard now has seven goals this season and 210 in his
Chelsea career. Terry has two goals this campaign and 57 overall.
The Premier League panel has reviewed a range of goals back to the
beginning of the season with the following their verdicts on goals in
other Chelsea games:
19 January
Chelsea 3-1 Manchester United
Chelsea's first goal has been confirmed as a Samuel Eto'o goal.
7 December
Stoke City 3-2 Chelsea
Stoke City's first goal has been confirmed as a Peter Crouch goal.
4 December
Sunderland 3-4 Chelsea
Sunderland's second goal against Chelsea has been confirmed as a John
O'Shea goal.
