The late-inning offense made it easy to forget a strong effort from
Chien-Ming Wang, who was on his way to his most impressive, and most likely
longest, start since returning from two years out of the Major Leagues before
an hour-and-11-minute rain delay.
He gave up a solo homer to Chase Utley in the third and a two-run shot to
Carlos Ruiz in the second, but he mostly kept Philadelphia's offense quiet.
Lightning had long lit up the outfield sky, but the rain held off long enough
for Wang to pick up his fourth strikeout -- the most in his five starts --
