首戰在最後時刻將比賽逼進延長並且奪勝的熱火，第二戰又再次展現逆轉本能，從落後17
分的劣勢下逆流而上，靠著下半場打出59比41的反擊，取得系列賽2連勝。
熱火此戰上半場命中率僅38.3%，而對手命中率高達58.1%；但整個下半場形勢逆轉，熱火
投籃命中率大幅躍升到51.2%，同時把綠衫軍命中率壓制到僅有37.9%，全場迫使對方出現
20次失誤。
賽後談到球隊前半段的「慢熱」情況，熱火總教練史波史特拉（Erik Spoelstra）表示：
「上半場比賽我感覺到我們好像輸了30分之多，但我抬頭一看，其實也只落後13分，感覺
還可以。我們在下半場重新調整腳步並穩住局面。」
「雙方此役都拚盡全力，這就是比賽應有的面貌。」
加上這一場勝利，史波史特拉生涯季後賽累積勝場數達到81場，這讓他超越威肯斯（
Lenny Wilkens）和卡爾（George Karl）兩位名帥，與瓊斯（K.C. Jones）並列史上第8
。
季後賽累積勝場最多的總教練是「禪師」傑克森（Phil Jackson）的229勝，萊里（Pat
Riley）和波波維奇（Gregg Popovich）分別以171勝、170勝排名其後；之後依序為布朗
（Larry Brown，100勝）、奧拜克（Red Auerbach，99勝）、史隆（Jerry Sloan，98勝
