The Indiana Pacers and Sacramento Kings are two teams who are looking to take a step forward next season, but also have some potentially unhappy shooting guards. Victor Oladipo and Buddy Hield have both been mentioned in a ton of trade rumors this offseason. Perhaps a late-offseason move could find them new homes.

No matter what the teams decide to do, a swap of the two players could be an intriguing option as well.

Pacers Receive: Buddy Hield, Richaun Holmes, Nemanja Bjelica, 2021 First-Round Pick via Sacramento, 2021 Second-Round Pick via Memphis

This is a much bigger trade than a straight-up swap of Oladipo for Hield. Including Turner will open some eyes, but this deal makes a lot of sense.
Turner was shopped hard by the Pacers in their pursuit of acquiring Gordon Hayward in a sign-and-trade with the Boston Celtics. Unfortunately, they could not get that deal done. Moving Turner seems much more likely following that kind of an awkward situation.

Why This Trade Makes Sense For The Pacers
Kevin Pritchard has been looking to shake a few things up this offseason. Going after Gordon Hayward showed that he is not content with how the Pacers’ roster is currently set up. However, with this trade, he would be re-making quite a bit of the roster.

While trading Oladipo and Turner would be tough to do and they are both fan favorites, this deal would be something that the Pacers would have to seriously consider.

Why This Trade Makes Sense For The Kings
On the other side of the trade, the Kings have been looking for a way to push themselves into contention for quite some time. There would be no better way than to make this trade with the Pacers.
Buddy Hield is a good piece and both Holmes and Bjelica can play solid roles, but having a chance to acquire talents like Victor Oladipo and Myles Turner is not an every year opportunity for a team like the Kings.

It would be a bit of a risk, as no one knows quite what to expect from Oladipo moving forward, but it is worth the risk for Sacramento. They have not had a player with the talent and potential that Oladipo possesses in quite some time.
