After scoring his first senior Chelsea goal in last night's 1-1 draw
against WAC RZ Pellets, Jeremie Boga was understandably delighted with his
impact.


The 17-year-old earned the Blues a draw against the Austrian outfit when
he latched on to a Branislav Ivanovic flick six minutes from time and
finished brilliantly.


The game may just have been a pre-season friendly, but for the player
himself it was a goal which will live long in the memory.


'I was very happy, it was a tough game for us but to score the equaliser
was very important,' he tells the official Chelsea website.


'We came back into the game and showed a great attitude. I'm very proud,
I've been working really hard to try and get an opportunity to play with
first team. I think I've been doing well but I need to keep going and
improve with every game.'


Boga was introduced at half-time, replacing Lewis Baker in the central
attacking role behind the striker, and he explained what Jose Mourinho had
asked him to do prior to his entrance.


'He just asked me to press them high up the pitch and press with
intensity,' he says. 'Apart from that he just told me to play my normal
game and enjoy myself.


'I've been enjoying training with the first team every day, you can only
improve working with world-class players every day and it's a great
experience for me.'


Boga's time on the European training camp up to now has been helped by the
presence of Kurt Zouma, with the two French youngsters bonding.


'I knew of him (before he joined the club) but I didn't know him
personally,' says Boga. 'He's a nice guy and a good friend. We're helping
each other settle because we're both new to the group.'
