League sources say that the Golden State Warriors are tentatively scheduled
to make a preseason trip to Japan next season. It is difficult to set such
plans in stone in the current climate, given the many variables in trying to
project the state of international travel 12 months from now amid a worldwide
fight against the COVID-19 virus, but you can bank on the Warriors going to
Tokyo as soon as conditions cooperate. The e-commerce company Rakuten,
founded in Japan in 1997, is a major Warriors sponsor.
