Tom Cruise will not get the chance to be Top Gun at Arsenal - he's been
released by the club.
Arsene Wenger and his coaching staff had high hopes for Cruise but the
defender has failed to develop to the standard expected of him.
The 20-year-old failed to make a single league appearance for Arsenal but did
make his debut for the club in the 2009-10 season, when he played the full
match in their Champions League group game against Olympiakos.
But the rookie Gunner has failed to earn a new deal at the Emirates and has
been released.
