Andreas Christensen has stated that he sees Chelsea as his 'second home'
and hopes to remain at Stamford Bridge for the forseeable.

The Denmark international is closing in on 10 years on the books at
Chelsea and hopes that his strong recent performances under Thomas Tuchel
will result in a contract extension.
'I've shown that I'm here for the long run,' explained the defender. 'I've
been here almost nine, 10 years now.
'I've never doubted my decision [to come to Chelsea] and I've always been
here for the long run. I accept that the club sometimes changes managers,
and that can make it hard to always be in the team.

Christensen hopes to extend his Chelsea stay
'After the loan spell [at Borussia Monchengladbach] I came back and played
a good amount and since then it's been a bit in and out, but it's nice at
the moment to play back-to-back games and my confidence is growing with
each game.
'There have not been any talks [on a contract extension] yet, but like I
said, I'm in this for the long run and I always have been. I feel like
this is my second home. Denmark will always be my home, but Chelsea will
always be my place.'
The Dane put in another assured display at the heart of the Chelsea
defence as we left the Spanish capital with a 1-1 draw from our Champions
League semi-final first leg against Real Madrid.
Christian Pulisic was the man on target for the Blues, ensuring we left
with an away goal in our back pocket, but Christensen felt we could have
had another couple of goals to bring back to Stamford Bridge.
Nonetheless, the defender is hoping we can get the result we need in the
return leg next month and book our place in the final.
'I think the first 25 minutes, half-an-hour we started fairly well and got
into some good situations,' explained Andreas, on our draw with Real.
'On another day, maybe we should have been two or three up. It didn't
happen and we know that going forward we have to be sharper in both boxes.

“We started on fire, we played to win… We have to be sharper at both
ends”
'We didn't take our chances and then they scored. They were dangerous on
set-pieces too, so that's something for us to focus on.
'But we're all feeling comfortable, not just the defenders but I think the
whole team and we're very comfortable with the way we are playing.
'We try to do that every game and at the moment we are a difficult team to
score against, but we have to keep that up.'
