I don't know of anything on TV unfortunately. We do know its big news out
there though. You can't buy a ticket for opening ceremony anymore for
example!
If the stadium is full for the ultimate competition it will be a new
experience for everyone...
If we hear of any TV coverage while we are out there, we'll let you know.
BTW - thanks to the people that have sent good luck messages to the team, and
also thanks again to people that trained with the squad this year and also
competed against the team during the mixed tour and at the game in Brighton.
Most of the team fly out this evening.

Have asked a contact in Taiwan about this and she thought that
http://hichannel.hinet.net/2009wg/live.html
Might work.
No promises and it'll all be in Chi

The World Games website contains some broadcasting info at:
http://www.worldgames2009.tw/wg2009/eng/info_press2.php
But the TV schedule at
http://activity.pts.org.tw/pts/koc2009/tv-timetable.html
Doesn't include any Flying Disc coverage.
Maybe someone else will do some...?

>From the European sports broadcaster's mouth:
World Games in Kaohsiung, Taiwan
17-26 July
One year after every Olympic Games, the World Games gather together 32 sports
not included in the Olympic programme but that could be in the future. The
federations of the sports that are taking part in the World Games are
officially recognised by the International Olympic Committee.
The last edition of the World Games was in Duisburg, Germany in 2005, with 93
countries participating and more than 3400 athletes. Russia topped the medal
table for the second time in a row, in front of Germany and Italy.
Amongst all the disciplines, Eurosport 2 will pay particular attention to the
more unusual sports like Bowling, Korfball (mixed team sport with a ball),
Dragonboat (boat races), Tug of War (strength sport - rope pulling), Fistball
(mix of Tennis & Volleyball), Flying Disc and Tchoukball (indoor team sport
with a ball). Eurosport 2 coverage will include more than 26 hours, including
13 hours Live.

Hi all,
The link Ali posted is now working. Right now the opening ceremony is
playing:
[1]http://hichannel.hinet.net/2009wg/live.html?c=1
Could only get it working in IE. FF, Chrome etc no go. You'll have to
sit through a minute or so of advertising first. Clicking on the link
on the bottom left of the player gives a higher-res version.
Found the schedule too, could only see "Flying disc" in there on the
21st though, nothing else.
[2]http://sports.hinet.net/2009wg/schedule_0721.html
According to google translate, the 4 segments are:
16:10 - 17:30 5v6 of war
17:40 - 19:00 bronze war
19:10 - 20:30 title fight
20:40 - 21:00 presentation ceremony
which in UK time is:
9:10 - 10:30 5v6 of war
10:40 - 12:00 bronze war
12:10 - 13:30 title fight
13:40 - 14:00 presentation ceremony
Cheers,
Dave
