TORONTO -- Even the Yankees' offense couldn't bail them out of this one.
Chien-Ming Wang was roughed up for eight runs over just 2 2/3 innings on
Wednesday as New York dropped the finale of a three-game series against
Toronto, 15-4.

即使洋基進攻火力不夠多，小王在星期三對藍鳥的先發表現糟糕，2.2局失8分。

It didn't take long for Wang to pitch himself into trouble. The right-hander
allowed the first four batters he faced to reach base. By the time designated
hitter Frank Thomas came to bat in the No. 5 hole, the Jays were already
leading 3-0.

開賽沒多久小王就給自己找麻煩，第一局讓前四位打者都上壘，接下來DH"重傷害"雖打出
雙殺打，這時藍鳥已經3比0領先。

After pitching a scoreless second, Wang ran into more trouble in the third
inning. He allowed five hits, including two doubles and a walk, before being
chased from the game. The biggest blow came when Jays catcher Gregg Zaun hit
a two-run double to right-center. Wang (13-6) allowed a career-worst eight
earned runs on nine hits in the shortest start of his career.

第二局沒有失分，小王在第三局面對更多麻煩。他被揮出五隻安打，包括兩隻二安和

The call to the bullpen didn't make things any easier for New York.
Right-hander Jeff Karstens allowed one run in the fourth inning and pitched
a scoreless fifth, before things started to fall apart during the sixth frame.
The Jays (57-56) sent 11 batters to the plate and put five more runs across
the board before it was all said and done. Four of those runs came with
Karstens in the game, although he finished with just two earned runs because
of an error charged to Derek Jeter.

The lone offense output for the Yankees (63-51) came via the long ball.
Second baseman Robinson Cano homered twice, while left fielder Hideki Matsui
hit his 23rd of the season. It was the first time since April 5, 2004, that
Jays ace Roy Halladay has given up three home runs in an outing. That was all
the damage New York could manage off the Toronto right-hander, though.
Halladay (13-5) finished with four earned runs on six hits while striking out
eight over seven innings.


洋基（63-51）終於有點攻勢，卡諾雙響炮，松井則擊出本季第23轟。這是藍鳥王牌
哈勒戴自2004/4/5以來單場再度被擊出三轟。不過這也就是洋基對這位右投所能造成
的傷害。哈勒戴（13-5）主投七局失4分，被擊出6安並有8K。
