"I’m happy with my squad but that doesn’t mean that we can’t make some
changes until the last day," he said.
"We’ll see what happens from now until then.

"We have a very good squad but this pre-season we have a lot of players who
cannot play. We’re happy with the squad, not only the team. That’s why it’s
important for all these players to take their chance when they get it."

Blues CEO Ferran Soriano has stated that the club will be finished in the
window after signing a centre-back, but much may depend on City's options up
front.

"We’re trying to continue in the same way we started last season. It was a
very good season but that season has finished. We must now start fighting again
for every competition we play.

"I hope we have the ambition to do it and that’s why I’m happy with the way
we have prepared in pre-season.

"We will continue being an important team. Of course other teams want to win as
well but I trust a lot in my players.

fit all the year he will be a very important player for us."

When asked if the pitch is a problem, Pellegrini said:
"It could be more than a problem. I think this pitch is not in a normal
condition to play a football game. It's a high risk for the players to have
an injury to the ankle or knee. I hope that from today until tomorrow they can
work on it a little bit more. But at this moment it's very difficult to play
football on this pitch."

problems, it's also a problem not only for injuries but also to play good
football. It's very difficult to play, to control the ball, to try to play
one touch or to have a high speed moving the ball, so we'll see tomorrow what
we can do?"
