MLB can request a one-time extension of its administrative leave for an addition
al seven days with consent from the MLB Players Association. The joint domestic
violence policy states that consent "shall not be unreasonably withheld." The ca
lendar might be relevant here.

這時MLB官方在球員工會的同意下，可以再延長七天的假
而工會也不能無理地拒絕

An extension of the current administrative leave would keep Bauer off the field
through the All-Star break, buying even more time for an ongoing investigation.
The expectation, however, is that this could take a while, possibly putting MLB
in a position where Bauer must return to the active roster while the investigat
ion continues. The administrative leave might merely delay that reality. The com
missioner's office has the right to request an additional extension of that leav
e time in order for the investigation to wrap up, but the MLBPA must agree to th
at too.

threw about 100 pitches the first day," Montero said, adding he told Bauer he
should take it a bit slower and work on locating his fastball first before
working on his breaking pitches.
