Spurs guard Tony Parker told a French television sports show that he plans to
play for France’s team in this summer’s EuroBasket tournament in Lithuania.
Sporting News.com reported that a post on FIBA.com indicated Parker would be
playing in the tournament. FIBA is the international governing body of
basketball.
趴車向一個法國體育節目說他暑假想打在立陶宛的歐錦賽。
“I will be at EuroBasket this summer,” Parker said during an interview with
a weekly sports television show in France. “I’m eager to get started. We
have a really good team.”
「我會出賽。」趴車在當時這麼說，「好想趕快去打，我們陣容很好。」
Parker told the television show that he was piqued to play for the French
team because Chicago center Joakim Noah also is planning to play.
“You need great inside play to win in Europe so Joakim Noah can be a very
important piece in our puzzle and make a big difference,” Parker said. “I
hope he’ll be able to help us.”
他表示之所以這麼想打的原因是公牛中鋒 Joakim Noah 也打算批上法國戰袍。
Winning the European title would be an additional career honor for Parker,
who has won three NBA titles with the Spurs and claimed the 2007 Finals MVP
in the Spurs’ four-game sweep over Cleveland.
“In the NBA, I won everything and I did so early on,” Parker said. “With
France, winning will be special because I’ve waited for it for so long.”
這是趴車籃球生涯再奪一殊榮的機會，他已經獲得了三座 NBA 的總冠軍。
But there is always the chance for injury or continued fatigued playing
international basketball in the summer. Parker credit his strong early start
this season to the fact that he did not play in international action last
summer.
And I wonder what Gregg Popovich’s ideas would be about Parker playing more
basketball at the end of the NBA season.
不過打國際賽潛在的風險仍是受傷及疲勞堆積，趴車也覺得他開季的生猛表現也是歸功於
上個夏天沒有打任何國際賽。
我真想知道波波對於趴車想打國際賽的想法。
