北京時間2月14日，灰狼新秀內線 Karl-Anthony Towns在今年全明星技巧大賽中成功奪冠
。比賽結束後，Towns接受采訪提起了隊友Kevin Garnett對自己的幫助。
“我很緊張，但由於他（Garnett）教過我很多特殊的呼吸技巧，讓我減少了很多緊張情緒
，”Towns說道，“之後我出場表現出了最好的自己。”
出生於1976年的Garnett已經在聯盟中打了21個賽季，而出生於1995年的Towns則正處於自
己的新秀賽季。這位2015年的狀元坦言，能與Garnett成為隊友讓他受益匪淺。
“（他教我）怎樣更加專業，”Towns接著說道，“他教我們所有人怎樣成為領導者。我想
成為球隊的領袖，我正努力在他身上學到更多，因為你永遠都不知道Garnett身上還剩多
少我們要去學習的東西。”
