鴨鴨平均一個play只用了十五秒，傳統的no-huddle offense一個play平均也得用個20到
25秒。紐約時報作家Pete Thamel對鴨鴨的blur offense做出以下的分析:
1. 一般shotgun formation，四分衛站在中鋒後面七碼；pistol offense的四分衛站在中
鋒後面四碼。差這三碼平均每個play可以省一秒鐘。Pistol offense的跑衛站在四分衛後
面--拿到球時已經在往前移動；shotgun的跑衛站在四分衛旁邊--拿到球時未有衝力。
2. 鴨鴨的triple-option基本上是進階版的midline option:高速的執行加上精準的
zone-read。
3. 鴨鴨把dropback這個過程刪去來執行更多的假動作。
4. 鴨鴨的傳球樹只有兩個: hitch screens和fake hitch screen -> side deep。這樣簡
單又無腦的進攻便於四分衛冷靜執行blur offense。
5. 鴨鴨的playbook只有二十個play；一般的大學校隊playbook大概有五十個play。
