Deloitte attorney Tamika Tremaglio has been selected as the new executive
director of the National Basketball Players Association, sources tell ESPN.
She will replace Michele Roberts, who is retiring.
Tremaglio is retiring as the Managing Principal of Deloitte's Greater
Washington practice to become the full-time director of the NBPA, sources
said. She's been a consultant for the league's union for the past nine years.
Tremaglio's hiring will be the first significant decision of CJ McCollum's
tenure as the NBPA's new president. Tremaglio consulted with the NBPA and
also played a role with the WNBA's players in their collective bargaining
negotiations with the NBA in 2019.
Tremaglio holds J.D. and MBA degrees and also is a trained forensic
accountant. She's currently leading over 14,000 employees in 23 offices
throughout the Washington, D.C. area. She will be leading the NBPA in the
upcoming collective bargaining negotiations with the league.
