Warriors’ Stephen Curry eyeing return Friday vs. Atlanta

SAN ANTONIO — Warriors point guard Stephen Curry eyes a return Friday
against Atlanta from a tweaked right ankle that has sidelined him six games,
according to an ESPN report.

Curry will have his right ankle re-evaluated Tuesday. Barring any unforeseen
setbacks, he is expected to play against the Hawks. Golden State has two days
of practice and a shoot-around before that game.

Klay Thompson (fractured right thumb) and Kevin Durant (fractured rib) are
expected to return in more than a week, at the earliest. Thompson is getting
re-evaluated by team trainers Thursday.
