In what seems like an annual tradition, trade rumors are once again swirling a
round Chicago Cubs outfielder Kyle Schwarber and the New York Yankees.

According to a report from The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal, the Yankees and Cubs
are talking about a swap for the slugger, and although Rosenthal’s report in
dicates that the talks are just casual conversations at this point, it hammers
home the point that the Cubs are willing to listen to trade offers for just a
bout every player.

根據Ken Rosenthal的報導，洋基和小熊正在討論關於外野手Kyle Schwarber的交易。但

“The Cubs are open to trading nearly every one of their players……The Cubs a
re hellbent on avoiding the fates of teams such as the Phillies, Giants and Ti
gers, who entered down cycles after going all-in for extended periods in recen
t times,” Rosenthal said.

「小熊願意交易隊上任何一位球員，小熊非常急於避免諸如費城人、巨人、老虎這些曾經

The Cubs have been involved in trade discussions for several players, includin
g third baseman Kris Bryant and catcher Willson Contreras. With the team seemi
ngly unable to take on additional salary, trading players would save money (ab
out $19 million in Bryant’s case) and recoup assets, but could also hinder th
e team if they intend to compete in 2020, as the likelihood of the club receiv
ing a group of MLB-ready players seems slim.

小熊隊內已經有數位球員的名字出現在交易討論中，包括老大Bryant以及捕手Contreras
。在目前薪資已經瀕臨極限的小熊來說，交易現在隊上的球員不但可以省錢還可以得到年
輕球員作為資產（若是交易Bryant大約可以省下19M）。但假如小熊想要在2020保有競爭
力，這似乎不是個太好的做法。尤其應該不會有球隊送頭，一次把若干MLB ready的球員
送給小熊。


短評：史瓦伯去年生涯新高39HR，再加上隊上純左打走了Didi之後扣掉Tauchman、Ford大
概就只剩下園丁。（蛤你跟我說Wade？）洋基右外野本來就很適合左打發揮。已經意淫史
瓦伯三年多了不知道這次會不會成
功XD
