Ryan Broyles has a torn ACL--Out for year

Detroit Lions Head Coach Jim Schwartz announced today that rookie WR Ryan
Broyles has torn his ACL in his right knee. Last year at Oklahoma, Broyles
tore the ACL in his left knee. On the season Broyles had 22 receptions for
310 yards and 2 touchdowns. Broyles torn the ACL on the 7th play of the game
against the Colts. Broyles was a second round pick this year. Schwartz did
mention that Brandon Pettigrew among other have been able to recover from
torn ACL’s on both knees.
When asked if Titus Young will be back with the team because of Broyles
injury in which Schwartz said he is not part of the plan.
Schwartz also said about Young, “I certainly believe in second chances ..
but you need to make the most of the oportunities you have .. In this case
that didn’t happen.”
When asked if Young if done with the team for the season? “I can’t predict
what the future will hold.”
