Van Persie - We will need more than draws

Arsenal’s run of 11 games without defeat is not good enough for Robin van
Persie.

Speaking after the draw at Tottenham on Sunday, the Arsenal striker suggested
solitary points were insufficient if his side are going to catch Chelsea in
fourth place. The White Hart Lane stalemate was a worthy result given that
the visitors played with 10 men for 54 minutes after Emmanuel Eboue was sent
off but, at the same time, the Dutchman knows his team needs more.

白鹿巷之戰的平局雖然很獲得不易，但是槍手們要的不只是這樣!

“In the last three Premier League games we have had three draws and that is
just not good enough,” he said. “It’s six points missing.

“If we had those six points...,” he went on before interrupting himself. “
But this is if, if, if.

"如果......如果......如果.......最近的三場平局獲勝的話，我們會多六分!"

“We are working hard but we know we are not there yet. We are not scoring
enough goals and we are not playing well enough. But everyone is staying
positive and we are trying to help each other. The basics are there, it’s
just up to us to finish it off now.

"我們很努力，但是還不夠! 我們得不夠多分, 表現得不夠好......"

“Sometimes it’s me to blame or another player to blame. Sometimes we are
unlucky. Everybody can judge that for themselves.

"這可以歸咎任何人，包括我，有時候只是運氣不好....."

“But we are still creating the chances. Even with 10 men we had a few
chances on Sunday. So I am not really worried because we are still doing that
part.”

"但是我們一直都在製造獲勝的機會，連週日10人出賽的局面都有可能獲勝! 我對我們的
未來並不感到憂心!"

Fortunately, Arsène Wenger now has options in attack with Andrey Arshavin
arriving from Zenit St Petersburg
and Eduardo back on the bench at White Hart Lane after almost a year out.

“Yes Eduardo has been working really hard and everyone is just really happy
that he is back,” said Van Persie. “He has been out for 12 months now.
Hopefully he can play, the sooner the better.

“And Arshavin has looked good in training - they both have. I really believe
in their qualities so there is more to come.”
