The Redskins Rule is a trend involving NFL football and United States
presidential elections. Briefly stated, there is a high correlation between
the outcome of the most recent Washington Redskins home football game and the
U.S. Presidential Election: when the Redskins win, the party which won the
popular vote in the previous election wins the electoral vote for the White
House, and vice versa. This coincidence has been noted by many sports and
political commentators

從 1940 到 2008, 18 次總統選舉 正確預測了 17 次,
唯一猜錯的一次是 2004 年 小布希贏了 Kerry
簡單講, 如果 redskins 贏了選舉前最近的一場主場比賽,
那現在白宮的執政黨將會贏得接下來的總統大選.

所以, Nov 4 紅皮對黑豹的比賽應該會成為該週最受矚目的一場比賽
Redskins 贏球的話, Obama 就穩了..
(為了大局, Pathers 你就輸一輸吧, lose the battle, win the war~ )

p.s.
2000 年小布希爭議性地因最高法院判決而勝選 選舉人票贏 但總普選票數輸
所以如果改成 "紅皮贏球則上一場選舉普選票數多的政黨會勝選"
那紅皮定律的結果就是 18/18.. perfect.
