Statement from Ron Artest

November 22, 2004

First, it is very important to me that people understand
that I didn't mean for the situation to turn out like it
did.

首先，對我而言非常重要的一點就是希望人們了解我不是有意讓當時
的情況轉變成今日所看到的那樣。

It really hurt me to see the children crying on TV, and I
think about how it could have been my own kids. I also
regret and apologize to fans who were upset by what happened.

當看到小孩在電視上哭喊模樣時真的讓我很受傷，而我也試想換做
如果是我自己的小孩會是什麼樣子。我也對那些因為發生的事情而
沮喪的球迷們感到後悔與致歉。

I have always been a huge fan of the NBA, and I always will
be. I have total respect for all the players who play the
game, and I respect David Stern, but I don't think that he
has been fair with me in his situation.

一直以來我都是 NBA的死忠球迷，而我也會一直保持下去。我百分
之百的尊敬每一位上場比賽的球員，同時我也尊敬 David Stern，
但是我不認為他曾經設身處地的為我想過。

I think people know that I have always tried to interact
positively with fans in every arena that I've been to. I am
deeply sorry for the Pacers, people in the state of Indiana
and everywhere else in America and around the world where
there are NBA fans who have seen me turn things around in
my life the past few years.

我想人們應當知道我總是試著與每個我所去過的球場的球迷們積極
地互動。我深深地對溜馬隊、印弟安那州的人民以及全美各地還有
世界上任一處看著我過去幾年來在生命裡改變的 NBA球迷們感到抱
歉。
